Dakar Audio Club are a 6 piece AFROBEAT / FUNK / ROOTS / SOUKOUS / REGGAE BAND with influences spanning Congolese, Senegalese, Malian, Nigerian and Jamaican music. In a nutshell, their music is inspired by the vibes you'd hear across the dial of a bush taxi radio on a trip through the dusty, potholed roads of West Africa and blaring out of doorways in the bustling market places of Dakar and Bamako... They were formed in Exmouth in early 2011, and comprise singer/songwriter partnership Nick and Fatou, guitarist Paul , bassist Tim, drummer Ben and djembe player Lee. They play an uplifting, high energy mix of traditional and original West African tunes, Reggae, Funk and Afro-Blues to get your party rocking!
